Scarlette Douglas has laid into Matt Hancock's dancing in the jungle - and admitted she had a heart-to-heart with him because she feared the camp could turn toxic.
The disgraced MP was a late arrival and TV host Scarlette was seen on ITV taking him off for a talk where she told him it might be difficult for a few days because emotions were running high and he had upset people in lockdown.
Reflecting on the conversation, she said: "I pulled him aside in the morning and I just said ‘we are a family here and of course we are going to treat you as one of the campmates but a lot of people aren’t happy with what you did, emotions are running high, so you have to understand that it is going to be quite difficult for us here in camp, but ultimately we are in it as a team'.
"I don’t want to be off with anybody especially when you are all so close and tight in camp - you have all got to get on. Why create a toxic environment if you don’t have to? So for me I wanted to take Matt away, I didn’t want to do it in front of everyone and make a big scene.
"He is a person and people make mistakes, every human being makes mistakes. He made a very big one and he knows that, he is apologetic for it."
Scarlette was also shown trying to get Matt to do the Electric slide, without much success.
She said: "Yes, his dance moves were shocking. Honestly Matt cannot dance at all. It's not hard work if you've got a grove, Matt has no groove.
"That's the one thing about Matt is that he honestly just puts himself up for everything. Yeah, so you can't knock someone that at least tries and he really really did in there.
"I don't ever want to see them again. But he did it and he had fun. Strictly could come calling you never know!
Asked if she liked him, she said diplomatically: "I like his get up and go. Do I like Matt Hancock specifically? I don't know if I had enough time to get to know him."
Scarlette also used the interview to speak about the rumoured race row over voting and also told how at least a trio of stars are ready to leave camp in Sue, Mike and Boy George.
