Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are a pair of meaty games that it’ll take a fair amount of time and effort to get through, but once you’re through with the Team Star Bases, Victory Road, and the Titan Pokémon, there’s still a lot more to dive into.
The end of the game is just the beginning for many players looking to catch ‘em all, hunt shiny variants, and breed Pokémon eggs. On top of all that, there are a few key things that you can’t even attempt until you’ve rolled the credits once. For everything to do in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s post-game, just take a look through our breakdown below.
Master Ball location – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The Master Ball is well-known in the series, and every mainline Pokémon game allows you to use this ball, which will catch any Pokémon without fail. You can get the Master Ball by visiting Director Clavell’s office after finishing the game. At least he isn’t asking what “cheugy” means this time.
How to rematch Gym Leaders – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
While you’re visiting Director Clavell, you’ll also meet Nemona, and Top Champion Geeta. You’ll be taking over Geeta’s job of “inspecting” gyms, which entails rematching all of those Gym Leaders – and they’ll have much tougher creatures this time.
Academy Ace Tournament – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Once you’ve rematched the Gym Leaders and defeated them at their best, you can compete in Nemona’s Academy Ace Tournament. This is a tough tournament where the minimum level is 65, so make sure you’re prepared to take on the challenge.
Black Crystal Tera Raids – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Finished the Academy Ace Tournament? Well you’ll get even more tasks to complete, the next being Black Crystal Tera Raids. These Raids hold much tougher and rarer Pokémon than you’ll be used to, and will reward you with XL Exp Candy.
Team Star Training Centers – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
You’ll also be able to rematch Team Star Leaders, and they’ll also come equipped with super tough level 65+ creatures. Just return to each former Team Star base to find and challenge them.
Area Zero and Paradox Pokémon – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Area Zero is now open for you to visit at any point, and even more paradox Pokémon will be available for you to find. These are rare version exclusives, so they’ll be prime trading materials to help complete the Pokédex. Here are all of the Paradox Pokémon you can find.
Pokémon Scarlet
- Great Tusk
- Brute Bonnet
- Sandy Shocks
- Scream Tail
- Flutter Mane
- Slither Wing
- Roaring Moon
Pokémon Violet
- Iron Treads
- Iron Moth
- Iron Hands
- Iron Jugulis
- Iron Thorns
- Iron Bundle
- Iron Valiant
How to catch Koraidon/Miraidon – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
You can return to the Zero Lab in Area Zero at the end of the game, and you’ll be able to find either Koraidon or Miraidon hiding behind the lab. Here you can challenge and catch the legendary creature – just watch out, it’ll be very tough at level 72.
Catch the Treasures of Ruin Pokémon – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The Treasures of Ruin are a set of four brand new legendary Pokémon, and you can only catch them at the end of the game. You’ll also need to find 8 ominous stakes to unlock the vault which houses each legendary, luckily we have a guide with all stake locations.
Catch ‘em all, get the Shiny Charm – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Once you will up the Paldean Pokédex, which has a whopping 400 entries, you’ll unlock the Shiny Charm, which will boost your chances of earning shiny Pokémon multiple times over. If you want to collect and hunt those precious shiny monsters, then you need to catch ‘em all first.
