Recent election polls suggest that voters might see a repeat of the 2020 presidential matchup, with Donald Trump and Joe Biden appearing as the leading candidates for the 2024 presidential race.

Former Trump ally and White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci discussed the challenges of the 2024 election with Zenger News.

Scaramucci served as the White House Director of Communications for an 11-day period in 2017 under President Trump. The job was one of many roles Scaramccui has held over the years, which also includes founding SkyBridge Capital.

“The American people don’t have to like you to vote for you,” Scaramucci said on a recent episode of “The Raz Report.

Scaramucci said Trump supporters don’t necessarily like him or support him, but rather they see a person who shares similar thoughts as them.

“He’s an avatar for their anger.”

Scaramucci noted that lower middle-class workers might be drawn to Trump due to their frustrations with the government or the relocation of factories overseas—issues that Trump frequently criticizes. “He’s done a good job of getting people to like him.”

The former White House Communications Director said.

Despite being dismissed by Trump, the former White House Communications Director stated that he didn’t instantly turn against his former boss, seeing him as a potential problem-solver.

Now, Scaramucci is very critical of Trump and is proud to be among the former Trump allies who no longer support him.

Nobody is friends with Trump, and anyone saying otherwise is lying or not aware of the former president’s hyper-masculinity or brittle nature, Scaramucci said.

“You jump in the car with him, and he ends up throwing you out of the car and runs you over.”

Scaramucci said that his perspective shifted when Trump targeted his wife on Twitter. It was at that moment he began to see the former president’s true colors. “He’s just not a good guy,” he said.

Trump continues to dominate the election polls against the numerous Republican presidential candidates, and Scaramucci attributes that to the former president’s dishonesty.

“Trump is ahead in polls because he’s a liar,” Scaramucci said.

While he was critical of Trump during the interview, he also criticized current President Joe Biden.

The former White House Communications Director took a shot at Biden’s age, which has become a trending topic for the 2024 election, saying Biden is like “weekend at Biden’s,” a reference to the “Weekend at Bernie’s” film.

“The 2024 election is going to be between demented and dementia,” Scaramucci said.

He said it’s a shame those are the two options, adding that the candidate who is demented is also headed for dementia, in reference to Trump.

The SkyBridge Capital founder also criticized Congress, which has no age limits for members. Scaramucci said that Nikki Haley is right, and Congress has been turned into a nursing home.

He also criticized Congress for mishandling the country and allowing the federal debt to reach new highs.

In the future, Scaramucci hopes that America will become exhausted by self-serving politicians.
