The family of a man who went on holiday but hasn't returned home almost three weeks later have issued a heartfelt plea, asking for him to get in touch and let them know he's safe. From Sawley over the Derbyshire border, 47-year-old Aaron - whose surname hasn't been released by the police - left on March 11.
But he was reported missing on March 20 when he didn't return home. A keen trainspotter and known to enjoy travelling by train, police have released CCTV footage - as part of a public appeal for information into Aaron's whereabouts - which shows him shopping in an Aldi supermarket in Williamson Road, in Finsbury Park in London, on March 17.
Having topped his bank account up for him with Aaron having run out of money, his family have also been out looking for him in and around Toton on a daily basis. Police say Aaron likes to spent a lot of time in the area watching trains.

Concerns are growing for his safety, with Aaron having not returned home nor been in touch with his family. In a statement released through Derbyshire Constabulary, his family said: “Aaron, this is a message from your Dad, Cheryl, Kurt, Carina and Megan. We are all so worried about you. We have been to Toton every day looking for you.
“We know you have run out of money, and maybe lost your train ticket and are stuck in London so we have put some money in your bank to get some food. Aaron if you are listening please can you go to a police station or a train station and let them know who you are?
“The police are waiting to help you return home safely to us. Everyone is looking for you - all your friends and family are doing everything we can to find you.
“We want you to know that we have sorted your money out for you for when you get home and all is going to be OK. Aaron - there’s no need to be scared we will help you, please go to the police station. Please come home Aaron, we all love you so much.”
He is described as being 6ft tall, of a medium build with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing jeans and a black fleece.
Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the force as soon as possible, quoting the reference 206-200323. Police can be contacted by calling 101 or via the official force website, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The independent charity Crimestoppers can also be contacted on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the Crimestoppers website.
