Savvy woman shares 68p ironing board hack to help get through the chore faster

A woman has left thousands of viewers flabbergasted after sharing a game-changing hack to help iron your clothes faster using just a popular kitchen essential. Neat Caroline - a professional organiser who boasts more than 205,000 followers due to her helpful tips for around the house - shared the life hack to TikTok, making ironing a breeze for all.

In the video, which was shared on the popular video-streaming app, the savvy TikToker used a common item, which is most likely found in the back of your drawers and is unlikely to cost you a penny - aluminium foil. If you find you don't have the product, it's likely to only cost you 68p from popular supermarket Asda.

The household task of ironing clothes is arguably the worst chore of them all and is incredibly time-consuming - until today.

Caroline's life hack claims to help to instantly speed up the process and it's pretty much the same concept - you just have to add some foil under your ironing board cover.

Captioning the clip, she wrote: "Ironing hack with aluminium foil!"

She explained: "Here's how to speed up your ironing time with aluminium foil."

She continued: "Grab your ironing board and some aluminium foil, peel off the cover, lay down a sheet of aluminium, make sure the foil is shiny side up, and place the cover back on. This will iron your clothes so much faster.

"Aluminium is a great thermal conductor so it speeds up ironing, it basically irons both sides at the same time.

"Look at that - nice and smooth!" she gushed.

Fellow TikTokers flocked to the comment section to gush over the insightful method as some even claimed they were keen to get hands-on with the hack themselves.

"WOW!!! Good Idea!" One person exclaimed.

A second added: "Definitely going to try! Thanks."

Meanwhile, a third asked: "Where did you learn this? Or did you come up with this idea? Clever!"

The woman replied: "Saw it on the Today show!"
