Save 74% on energy bills with this Salter air fryer - now £140 off in the sale

The October energy price cap increase has made many of us want to do whatever we can to prevent our bills from soaring. If you've been thinking of investing in an air fryer, these are a good way to save you money compared to using a traditional oven.

Thankfully, Amazon has slashed the price of a Salter air fryer in a huge deal that allows shoppers to save a whopping £140.

The Salter AeroGrill Air Fryer and Grill, now down from £249.99 to £109.99, has been a huge hit with Amazon customers who have called it "brilliant" and a "wonderful device"

What's more? It claims to save you 74% off your energy bills when compared to the energy used to cook a chicken in a 1.8 kW electric oven.

Air fryers work by circulating hot air inside them to cook food. If you're looking to use less energy in your home, then an air fryer is a worthwhile investment.

The Salter AeroGrill is perfect for large families, boasting a generous six-litre capacity, and can reach up to 265 degrees to cook a range of food.

It has five cooking functions which include a grill setting for chargrilled foods, an air fry mode to cook using little to no oil, a roast setting for making Sunday dinners, a bake function for sweet treats and a dehydrate mode for dried fruit snacks.

With an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 on Amazon, the Salter cooker seems to have impressed many shoppers online.

In a five-star review, one person said: "This unit has inspired me to cook more again. It's really versatile and reakly easy to use. I have Air fried, Grilled, and Bake in it. In these days of saving on the fuel bills, it make sense.

"Delicious food, cooked to perfection and much quicker plus less electric than traditional methods. I like it! Imfact if you want to save hundreds on your electricity bill, buy this plus a multicooker and as a hob a Induction hob you could save 50% on your cooking fuel bill and get better tasting food! It's a win win."

While another penned: "I love this device. The instructions were a bit limited, but I googled recipes. My first attempt was a whole roast chicken in 50 minutes. I'm quite impressed with how well it cooks. It uses a lot of power, but for shorter times than an oven so I presume I save energy costs."
