Saudi, Malaysian FMs Discuss Boosting Bilateral Ties

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks in Riyadh on Monday with his Malaysian counterpart Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The tackled cooperation between their countries and ways to develop it in all fields.

They also discussed regional and international developments and efforts exerted towards them.

The discussed intensifying coordination in political affairs and bolstering economic cooperation to achieve joint interests.

Prince Faisal also received United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, who was taking part in the third Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.

They reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and the UN and ways to boost and develop them in several fields.

The officials discussed aspects of joint work, such as supporting humanitarian and relief work in various countries, underscoring the prominent role played by the Kingdom in this regard.

Prince Faisal also met with Director General of the International Organization for Migration Antonio Vitorino, who was also taking part in the Riyadh forum.

They discussed Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and development efforts across the globe and the importance of bolstering international cooperation with the aim of protecting the rights of migrants.

They also covered several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
