The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Britain’s King Charles III held a telephone conversation, the Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday.
During the call, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to King Charles, his family, and the British people on the death of Queen Elizabeth II, SPA said.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also congratulated the British King on ascending the throne, wishing him success in serving the interests of the friendly people of the UK, and looking forward to strengthening relations between the two friendly countries, the news agency said.
King Charles expressed his deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing his keenness and interest in strengthening relations between the two friendly countries, SPA added.
