Saudi Arabia has been appointed as the host of the 2034 World Cup, marking a significant achievement in the country's efforts to attract major sports events. However, several key questions remain unanswered regarding the upcoming tournament and the 2030 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

One of the primary concerns is the location of the games. Saudi Arabia has proposed 15 stadiums in five cities, with plans for futuristic designs such as a stadium in Neom situated 350 meters above street level. The kingdom aims to host all 104 games, though there is speculation about the possibility of some matches being played in neighboring countries.

Another crucial issue is the timing of the World Cup. Given the extreme temperatures in Saudi Arabia during the traditional June-July period, alternative dates are being considered, such as January 2034, despite potential conflicts with other major sporting events.

Furthermore, there are questions about whether stadiums will be segregated for men and women. Saudi Arabia's efforts to promote gender equality suggest that female fans should not face restrictions by 2034.

Alcohol consumption at venues or hotels is also a topic of discussion. While Saudi Arabia strictly prohibits alcohol, exceptions for the World Cup have not been ruled out, although no indications have been given thus far.

Worker rights and protections are a significant concern, with Saudi Arabia pledging to enforce labor laws and ensure the well-being of migrant workers involved in constructing tournament facilities.

Additionally, the potential participation of Israel in the 2034 World Cup raises diplomatic considerations, as any qualifying team is typically welcomed, despite political tensions.

Regarding the 2030 World Cup, the tournament will be the most geographically dispersed in history, with games spread across six countries and three continents. The final is scheduled for July 21, 2030, and the host countries are yet to decide on the venue, which could lead to some contention.
