The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed on Wednesday Kingdom's shock and regret at the Afghan caretaker government’s decision to deny girls the right to university education, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

It called on the government to reverse its decision, which has shocked all Islamic countries, it added.

The move goes against claims that Afghan women will be granted their full legitimate rights, foremost of which is the right to education that helps in supporting security, stability, development and prosperity for Afghanistan.
