Saudi Arabia Minimally Affected By Global Technical Disruptions

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Beijing

The Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) announced on Friday that the impact of global technical disruptions on national entities in Saudi Arabia has been minimal. The disruptions were caused by a technical glitch in an update released by CrowdStrike early Friday morning but had limited effect on the Kingdom’s critical infrastructure, according to the NCA.

The NCA highlighted that proactive measures, supported by strong leadership, are in place to monitor and respond to cyber threats. These measures include enhancing national cybersecurity capabilities and ensuring technical sovereignty. The NCA stated that the cybersecurity controls and standards it issued have improved the security and reliability of cyberspace in the Kingdom, resulting in a positive impact on protecting national entities and sensitive infrastructure.
