Saudi Arabia designated on Wednesday five Yemenis for their ties to the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen and their terrorist activities.

The Presidency of State Security said one of the individuals, Mansour Ahmed al-Saadi, is active in smuggling Iranian weapons to Yemen.

He had previously received intense training in Iran and is seen as the mastermind behind attacks on international shipments in the Red Sea.

Another individual, Ahmed Ali al-Hamzi, is responsible for a drone program and receives Iran-made weapons.

He had also previously received intense training in Iran.

Other two individuals are directly connected to launching ballistic missiles and drones. The fifth individual is associated with these operations.

The Presidency of State Security said all assets belonging to the designated individuals must be frozen, and any direct or indirect transactions with them are prohibited.
