The Queen will reportedly spend more time in Scotland as she plans to ‘quit Buckingham Palace for good’.

Plans are said to be underway in kitting out Craigowan Lodge on the Balmoral Estate, Aberdeenshire , with a string of security measures to prevent vehicles and intruders getting near to the property.

It has been reported that a new security gate, state of the art intercom system and a series of CCTV camera are set to be installed.

Two long-serving P&O Ferries workers yesterday told how they’ve dedicated half their lives to the firm – only to be cruelly sunk without trace by the heartless bosses.

Chefs Mark Patterson and Alan McCulloch, of Stranraer , never missed a shift during lockdown or took a penny of furlough, as they kept their ship sailing between Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The men, both 59, are among 800 to be given the boot – to be replaced by what union bosses are calling “an army of scab labour”, on lower wages.

McDonald's have now apologised (Google Maps)

A Scots mum was left fuming after being forced to carry her order in her hands when "heartless" McDonald's staff refused to give her a bag.

The woman, from Edinburgh , claimed she had to ask a local pub for help as she had no other option but to enter the establishment to ask for a bag.

The incident is said to have taken place at the Telford Road branch on February 21 when the mum accidentally clicked the no bad option on the self-service machine.
