Scots care home nurse investigated after allegedly bandaging elderly man after he died

Golfhill Nursing Care Home in Glasgow (DAILY RECORD)

A care home nurse is being investigated after allegedly bandaging up an elderly man after he had died.

Jimmy McGill’s daughter-in-law claims it was obvious the 89-year-old had passed away but the nurse carried on.

The incident is one of nine key complaints to the Nursing and Midwifery Council ( NMC ) made by Amanda Parker relating to Jimmy’s treatment at Golfhill Nursing Home, in Dennistoun, Glasgow.

Amanda, 44, also claims former plater Jimmy was denied painkillers in the days leading up to his death on January 3.

And her complaint to the NMC alleges that a nurse fobbed her off by saying she had called for a doctor when she hadn’t.

Dogs fatally attack deer while 'owners casually watch' as SSPCA launches probe

The Scottish SPCA is investigating reports that dogs savaged the animal (supplied)

A pack of loose dogs fatally injured a deer while their owners watched on, it has been claimed.

The brutal wildlife attack, at around 6.30pm on Monday, is being investigated by the Scottish SPCA after it was reported by a traumatised member of the public.

It is understood that the deer had incurred unrevivable injuries following the attack in a quarry between Forfar and Kingsmuir in Angus.

Locals say the animal was hounded by dogs that were not on leads - and were not stopped by their owners until it was too late.

An eyewitness told the Record: "My mum noticed a dog chasing a deer, then when we went to look properly there was roughly five dogs.

A Scots mum has thanked a midwife who took adorable photos of her newborn baby after the dad 'slept in' for the birth in a heartwarming video on TikTok.

Megan Burns, from Hamilton, gave birth to baby girl Gabriella in Wishaw General Hospital on November 20, 2021, with mum Fiona by her side as her boyfriend slept in for the quick one hour and a half labour.

The 23-year-old initially planned to blog the birth but when it "didn't go as planned" she handed her phone to student midwife Joanna Murray and asked her to take lots of photos.

Megan, also mum to Lola, three, decided to take part in a TikTok trend where users post someone they'll never forget and immediately knew Joanna was the person to be featured.
