Ant and Dec were forced to issue an apology to ITV viewers on Saturday night as Takeaway guest Toni Colette turned the air blue minutes into the show.
Having been forced to start 15 minutes late due to Six Nations rugby coverage, Ant and Dec welcomed Muriel's Wedding and Knives Out actress Toni to the voiceover booth to be the latest Star Guest Announcer of the new series. After she made a quip right at the start of proceedings about liking 'short, cheeky British men who never seem to age,' Toni, who has also appeared in BBC drama Wanderlust, was handed a key role by the Geordie hosts.
She was asked to take part in game Saturday Night at the Movies, which involves families attempted to recreate famous movies in their living rooms for celebrities to guess. With Places on the Plane for Takeaway's series finale in Florida up for grabs, the pressure was on for Toni to answer correctly.

But, having helped one family book their spaces on the flight, she them struggled with the first film being presented by the second family. And, aware that time was ticking down, she shouted: "Oh s**t!"
Her swearing was picked up on by ITV viewers straight away, although Ant and Dec didn't react immediately. Instead, their apology came after the next ad break, when they said: Sorry if you heard a bit of bad language during Saturday Night at the Movies. Hope we didn't spoil it for you."
After her swearing, Toni was then the centre of a bizarre moment on Takeaway when, after she was asked what was coming up next, a rather lengthy trailer for her new Amazon drama played out on screen, rather than her talking about the rest of the show.
