Saturday Night Takeaway fans have been left convinced the show is a fix after an obvious clue on tonight's show.
Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returned to screens tonight for the latest instalment of the popular ITV programme, but during tonight's segment of SofaWatch - where viewers have to travel to an undisclosed location to find Fleur East and the lit up sofa in a bid to try and win a very special Takeaway Getaway.
However, the segment was hit with a string of fix claims on social media as fans tuning in called out what they dubbed a string of errors in the game and the big reveal as Stephen Mulhern returned to his dark room to choose the lucky winner.
Stephen stepped into the dark room, where balls were dropped on him - all with individual numbers on - and he had to catch one, with the person in Glasgow with that number being selected for the holiday of a lifetime.
However, fans tuning in pointed out some issues with how the winner was selected
"#SaturdayNightTakeaway sorry guys it’s just getting so lame! The lady with number 40 appears from the side! No one sees the number 40 in the draw. But you know what the whole show is so lame and non progressive! Get rid!" one said, as they slammed the decision to have Stephen find the winning number in a dark room where it couldn't be shown on the screen.
"That reveal of the #40 winner won't help people thinking it's a fix. walking on from stage left #SaturdayNightTakeaway," another mused as they pointed out how the winning contestant suddenly appeared from the side of the crowd.
Others took issue with the number, as some claimed Stephen said 14 and not 40.
"Erm, that was 14, not 40 wasn’t it???! #SaturdayNightTakeaway," one wrote, as another added: "He definitely said 14!"
One viewer suggested Stephen pulled the 'winning' ball from his pocket, but another fan insisted it was the torch he took from his pocket, adding: "I thought that but no he pulled out his torch #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
It comes after a similar incident on a previous episode of the show, where fans were convinced Sam Fender had picked a 1 and not a 7, after picking up a ball with the winning number one.
One wrote at the time: "Was that a 1 not a 7?? very similar!!" as another tweeted: "Think that was a 1 not a 7."
