Saturday Night Takeaway fans gasp as Jill Scott makes 'personal dig' at Declan Donnelly

Jill Scott left Saturday Night Takeaway fans in hysterics as she made her debut on the iconic ITV programme after being crowned Queen of the I'm A Celebrity jungle last year.

The Sunderland legend, 36, reunited with Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, and before the show even had a chance to kick off, Jill was ready with an insult for Dec - which viewers couldn't get enough of.

In a savage swipe at Dec, Jill mocked his height which was met with laughter and applause from the audience and viewers at home.

"What is it Dec. Do you want us to get something off a high shelf in your dressing room Dec?" Jill mocked as Ant erupted into laughter.

"Ooooh ouch! We might need some cream for that burn guys. She's here all night - it's Jill Scott ladies and gentlemen," Ant cheered as his partner in crime Dec looked on in disbelief.

Jill's quip was met with much delight from fans at home who rushed to gush over how happy they were to see her back alongside Ant and Dec.

"Jill Scott is and always will be an absolute legend. She knows how to give it and she knows how to take it," one ITV viewer gushed.

"Hahahah Jill hitting Dec where it hurts - his height," another quipped.

"Please make Jill Scott a regular on this show!!!! Love this woman so much," someone else tweeted.

"Dec did not see that one coming! The poor man is only up to her shoulder," another viewer joked after being left in hysterics over the savage dig.

While someone else echoed: "Ah bless poor Dec and his little legs. He couldn't run fast enough away from that joke.

Jill quickly became a household favourite when she became the runaway winner of the last series of I'm A Celebrity when it returned to Australia for the first time in three years, following two trips to Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sunderland hero was the hot tip to win I'm A Celeb from the off and, despite odds shortening on Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner beating her, she won the public vote by a huge margin.
