Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway viewers have fumed after the Geordie duo confirmed that the ITV show will be cancelled next weekend.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly returned for another dose of Saturday evening fun and gags on the hit ITV show.
Millions of fans have been tuning in every weekend to see Ant and Dec in action, since the pair's award-winning programme made its return last month.
As the Geordie duo opened the first half of the show, they announced that the next instalment of Takeaway will be in two weeks time.
Ant told the studio audience: "You may have heard some of you there's no show next week because of the rugby."
The schedule shake-up is to make way for live Six Nations Rugby coverage, but fans took to Twitter to bemoan the decision.
One wrote: "No show next week!!" as another posted: "No Saturday Night Takeaway next week due to rugby! Waaaaaahhh" with a crying emoji.
A fellow social media user wrote: "THERE IS NO SHOW NEXT WEEK? OMG I AM FUMING."
A fellow Takeaway viewer wrote: "No show next week?! What?" as another tweeted: "No Saturday Night Takeaway coz of rugby - would rather my Saturday night takeaway," alongside a string of crying emojis.
Another wrote: "Sorry what? There's no show next weekend because of the rugby??"
Six Nations Live will run on ITV on Saturday, March 19 as England take on France.
This comes as Stephen Mulhern's doctor has ordered him off Saturday Night Takeaway for the third week running.
The 44-year-old TV presenter wrote on Twitter : “Hello all, Sorry I’ve been quiet on here recently and thank you for all your lovely messages.
“I’ve had some time off and been resting up on doctors orders. I’m on the mend, I’m happy to say, and looking forward to getting back to work soon. In the meantime...
“I’ll put my feet up and watch Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with the rest of you lot. Please don’t miss me too much! Lots of love, Stephen. X”
Stephen only made a brief appearance on the launch night show on February 19 dressed as Donald Trump for the series opener.
Last week fans were shocked when the funny man was missing from our screens, with many taking to Twitter to question where he was.
One wrote: “Where is Stephen he's not been in the show for the past two weeks??”
As well as taking part in Saturday Night Takeaway, Stephen stepped in for Covid-stricken Philip Schofield on Dancing on Ice earlier this year, to the delight of fans of the ice skating competition.
