Saturday Night Takeaway fans call out 'rigged' new game as they spot 'blatant' tactic

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers noticed a possible cheat tactic on the ITV show as it debuted a brand new game in the latest episode.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly returned for another instalment of Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV, with a live audience in the studio.

The hosts debuted the new Who You Gonna Call? segment, which saw the presenter Fleur East call contacts on the audience member’s phone, with the aim of getting through to three people on a group chat.

The first attendee invited up on stage was Viv, who successfully called her son, her daughter-in-law and her niece, clinching cash as well as a place on the show’s upcoming trip to the US.

However, eagle-eyed viewers at home said that they believed all three of the people she called seemed to be in the same house, labelling it a ‘blatant’ way of getting around the game.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “This game is so rigged - just phone 3 people you live with,” as another echoed: “Blatantly all in the same house.”

A third added: “They all in the same house,” as another agreed: “I guarantee you they’re all in the same house.”

Fellow fans thought up other possible tactics, with one writing: “Her some on the family chat like PICK THE PHONE UP,” as another said: “Obviously her family and friends are watching her on tv!!!”

The Geordie pair hit screens once again last month with a fresh instalment of the long-running series, giving ITV viewers the happiest ninety minutes of the week.

The show sees the beloved pair present hilarious sketches, play pranks on celebrity guests and invite the audience members to participate in games.

The latest series of the cheeky show has billed cameos from the nation's favourite PE teacher Joe Wicks and Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman – as well as Alison Hammond and Rylan as the next unwitting victims of their very own Undercovers.

It comes after the Geordie duo revealed that they have turned down some of the suggestions from producers during the making of the show.

Ant and Dec appeared on Capital Breakfast to speak with Roman Kemp and said they felt nervous pranking Gordon Ramsay and Jeremy Clarkson, as Gordon “vows” to get back at them.

Roman asked the duo if there are any sketches producers have asked them to do but refused, to which Ant said there had been.

Dec explained: “I think sometimes we sit down and they go 'we thought maybe you could do this' and we go 'no, I think that's crossing the line'.”
