Saturday Night Takeaway: Ant and Dec surprise mum-to-be with surprise wedding live on telly

Mum-to-be Vicky Powell got the surprise of her life when Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway made a comeback this weekend - she ended up geting married live on TV.

Due to the pandemic, Vicky and husband-to-be Nick had seen their wedding cancelled 'countless' times and they lost more than £20k when their wedding venue went bust.

But they finally had a lavish bash on TV on Saturday live from London's Chiswick House.

Vicky was among the audience when Ant and Dec called her onto their sofa. Nick, who she thought was working in Miami, suddenly appeared on a big screen and revealed that he was in fact in the UK and had been planning their wedding. A curtain behind him was pulled back to reveal all their family and friends in their wedding attire.

Nick got onto bended knee and asked Vicky if she would marry him 'tonight.'

After saying 'yes' Vicky was whisked to the venue ready for the TV wedding.

She was flown in by helicopter along with her bridesmaids and was greeted by her dad, Alan, with a kiss on the cheek as it landed on the ground.

The presenters crossed live from the studio as Vicky and Nick exchanged vows and wedding rings, and the nation watched on as they officially became man and wife.

Dec said: "Amazing. Congratulations Vicky, congratulations Nick. Vicky, it's finally happened! How are you feeling?"

Vicky, visibly overwhelmed by the day's events, responded: "I don't know! Happy, happy."

The presenters then gave the happy couple one final surprise to cap the day off - a honeymoon to Mauritius.
