Saturday Kitchen leaves viewers howling after unexpected ‘I’m A Celebrity’ salad

Saturday Kitchen fans have been left howling with laughter after a typo turned their duck and watermelon salad into an ‘I’m A Celebrity’ trial. Eagle-eyed followers were quick to point out the spelling mistake that made Tom Parker Bowles’ recipe VERY different.

On the show Matt Tebbutt was joined by Mandy Yin, Tom Parker Bowles, Edd Kimber, Helen McGinn and Martin Kemp, cooking up a storm in the live studio.

They went on to share snaps of the recipes on Instagram to their 103,000 followers, including Mandy’s pineapple curry with mussels served and coconut rice and Matt’s prawn vol au vents.

But it was when they shared Tom’s salad that things took a hilarious turn, after a spelling error turned the ‘duck’ salad into something a little more X-rated.

The caption read: “Tom Parker Bowles’ d**k and watermelon salad! You can find the recipe for Tom’s duck and watermelon salad on the BBC Food website (link in bio!) which Helen recommends enjoying with a glass of Fleur de Lise Saint Mont Rosé (M&S, £8).”

While the spelling error was quickly corrected, speedy social media fans were quick to point out the mistake, with jasonebloomfield joking: “Is this for I’m a Celebrity?”

Sashinthegarden commented: “I think you mean duck!! That would really make them laugh in the studio,” while willis_cooks_alot added: “Of all the typos!”

Lornyb71 wrote: “nothing worse than a typo error!!” With mrs_bank commenting: “Oh dear, don’t think I fancy that.”

Manchester Evening News have contacted BBC and producers Cactus TV for comment.
