Trans Scots killer now identifying as infant demands nappies and baby food in jail

A murderer who changed gender is demanding to be treated as a baby by prison staff.

Sophie Eastwood was formerly known as Daniel and was jailed for life in 2004 for strangling a cell-mate with shoelaces.

The killer has now told the prison governor at Polmont jail that she wants to identify as a baby, wear nappies and have meals blended like baby food.

US Air Force Osprey military aircraft spotted as Glaswegians look to the sky

Scots found themselves looking skyward yesterday after spotting an unusual military aircraft making circles over Glasgow Airport - the latest in a series of sightings in recent days.

The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was spotted in the skies over Glasgow at around 6.30pm before landing outside of the city.

While it has a plane-like fuselage, the Osprey makes use of two helicopter-style rotors which means it can take off vertically rather than needing to use a runway to get off the ground.

A Scots community has been left devastated after finding their beloved 'local celebrity' Red Deer dead with 'his head chopped from his body'.

Residents in Bonawe, Argyll and Bute , have told how they heard gunshots shortly before finding the remains of Stanley the deer by Loch Etive yesterday morning.

They fear that the stag had been used as a target by trophy hunters due to his friendly nature.

Edinburgh woman 'scarred for life' after horror smash as reckless driver caged for 20 months

An Edinburgh woman has relived her anguish after being involved in a horror car crash in the capital.

Inga Edwardson says that she has been left scarred for life following the traumatic collision, which took place in May last year.

The 28-year-old suffered fractures to her pelvis, ribs and foot after the smash as well as severe bruising.

Scots hospital blasted for 'cardboard' chicken nuggets and chips dinner served to elderly patient

A photograph of a dinner of chicken nuggets and chips served to an elderly hospital patient has sparked outrage online.

The pensioner was served the beige meal at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for dinner after being admitted to hospital for a hip operation after falling at her care home.

Billy Queen was left shocked by the quality of the food his friend's mother had been given.
