Jogger shares creature that 'could very well be an alien' after bad storm

A jogger who noticed a bizarre squidgy-looking anomaly whilst running in a city turned to the internet for help to identify what the strange object could be.

Harry Hayes shared a picture of the creature online, and it shows what may be an eye, a long trunk-like section and a part that looks like a human lung.

Harry revealed he discovered it while running in Sydney, Australia, after a huge storm and said it may have washed up in recent bad weather.

Pensioner dies after crash near busy Scots shopping centre as police shut down road

The one vehicle collision occurred on Cowglen Road in the Pollok area of Glasgow (Google Maps)

A man has died following a car crash close to a Scots shopping centre.

The one vehicle crash took place on Cowglen Road in the Pollok area of Glasgow at around noon on Saturday, March 5.

Emergency services raced to the scene near Silverburn Shopping Centre and it is understood that the car was on its side.

Tragically, a 75-year-old man, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

UK's cheapest supermarket named as Aldi loses out on top place in ranking of major shops

The cheapest UK supermarket is Lidl, according to an analysis of the cost of an average shopping list in February 2022.

Lidl was the cheapest shop with the average shopping list coming in at £24.21.

Aldi was a close second, with an equivalent basket of groceries 62p pricier, in contrast to Waitrose, the most expensive supermarket which was £9.50 more expensive than shopping at Lidl.

State Pension payments will rise next month - here are the new weekly rates

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) recently confirmed that State Pension payments will increase by 3.1% in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from April 11, 2022.

People receiving State Pension can choose to be paid either weekly or every four weeks - not to be confused with being paid monthly as the DWP makes 13, four-weekly payments each year over a 52-week period which can result in two payments being made in the same calendar month.
