The new Satechi USB-4 Multiport Adapter features 8K HDMI video output while the Satechi Pro Hub Max is aimed at anyone looking to upgrade the latest Apple MacBooks with some extra ports and connections to the outside world.

The Satechi USB-4 Multiport Adapter harnesses the latest USB 4.0 technology by offering 8K HDMI output thanks to significant upgrades in the bandwidth that USB 4.0 offers for video and data. There’s also support for data transfer rates up to 40Gbps, plus backward compatibility with USB 3.2.

The Satechi USB-4 Multiport Adapter’s 8K HDMI output offers ultra-hi-res video for advanced gaming and streaming, plus an additional refresh rate of up to 60Hz. In addition, the Satechi Multiport Adapter has lots of extra ports, including Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C PD charging, USB-A data up to 10 Gbps, plus micro/SD card readers. The adapter features rugged construction with efficient heat dissipation that prevents connected devices from overheating.

The second hub on offer from Satechi at CES is the new Pro Hub Max which can expand the latest MacBook Pro M1 and Max by offering a 4K HDMI port for dual displays plus support for refresh rates up to 60Hz, making it easier to work via multiple screens or for streaming content, such as TV shows and movies, on a larger screen with crisp, high-resolution. The Pro Hub Max also has a micro/SD card reader that enables creators to simultaneously pull large quantities of data like video files from multiple cards.

Both new Satechi connectivity products are plug-and-play, which makes them ideal for hotdesking with any MacBook Pro workstation. Users can simply connect either adapter to their laptop to instantly expand the number of ports available without the need for any additional drivers or installing special software.

Pricing & Availability: Satechi’s new USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI and the Pro Hub Max model will be available soon at Satechi.net for $149.99 and $99.99, respectively.
