Sari lungi run in Hubballi on Sunday

Many have heard about sari run being organised as part of Women’s Day celebration. And, this time, Hubballi will host a sari lungi run on Sunday in a bid to sensitise people on the importance of keeping good health.

Sattwam Physiotherapy and Health Clinic is organising the “Saree Lungi Run 2022” at KLE Technological University (BVB campus) at Vidyanagar, Hubballi.

Founder of Sattwam and physiotherapist Vijetha Halepet has said in a release that Sattwam has been organising sari run as part of its initiative to create health awareness and for the first time, sari-wearing women will be joined by men draped in lungi in the run.

The objective of the run is to highlight the need for physical, mental and emotional well-being, especially in post-COVID days and also to promote traditional Indian attires.

Anyone in the seven to 70 age group can participate in the event wearing sari or lungi. There are prizes for first finishers, youngest participant and oldest participant and other categories. The event will begin at 6.15 a.m. on Sunday.

To register for the event and for further details, call Ph: 8310126083.
