Sarah Michelle Gellar has reacted on Instagram after seeing a reunion of three villains from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Adam Busch, Danny Strong, and Tom Lenk played The Trio, Warren, Jonathan and Andrew, and were the primary villains for season six of the hit show.
Unlike other villains on Buffy, the Trio were just mortals without any powers but had a desire to take over Sunnydale, with only the Slayer standing in their way.
Despite being one of the few non-supernatural enemies that Buffy faced, The Trio proved to be a constant thorn in her side, resulting in several shocking deaths.
Thankfully, Gellar seems to be a big fan of the three men in real life.
After Lenk posted a picture of the threesome back together, he asked fans to “caption this photo.” replied by saying: “Three people I adore.”
47-year-old Gellar replied, saying: “Three people I adore.” Strong responded to her, adding: “LOVE U TOO!!!”
This isn’t the first and unlikely to be the last time that Gellar interacts with her former co-stars. In August 2023, she was spotted with Seth Green, who played Oz on the show, at a Taylor Swift concert.
The former co-stars took a selfie and a video together at the pop star’s Eras Tour concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Gellar posted the snaps to her Instagram account.
Buffy’s legacy has been somewhat tarnished in recent years after creator Joss Whedon was hit with allegations of bad behaviour and abusing his position across various projects, claims which he denies.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 Gellar addressed the controversy, saying: “I’ve come to a good place with it, where it’s easier to talk about.”
She added that she will “never tell my full story because I don’t get anything out of it. I’ve said all I’m going to say because nobody wins. Everybody loses.”
Gellar acknowledged that while it was “absolutely not” an “ideal working situation”, she believes that it’s “OK to love Buffy for what we created because I think it’s pretty spectacular”.
“I hope that it gives the success back to the people that put in all of the work,” she continued. “I will always be proud of Buffy. I will always be proud of what my castmates did, what I did. I hope the legacy hasn’t changed.”
More recently, James Marsters, who played the vampire Spike, has revealed he sought mental health support after filming one harrowing scene for Buffy.
In one episode from the penultimate series, “Seeing Red”, Spike tries to rape Buffy in her bathroom in a twisted attempt to prove his love for her – but she is able to fight him off.
Speaking to Michael Rosenbaum on the Inside of You podcast, Marsters said: “Buffy sent me into therapy, actually. Buffy crushed me.”
He added: “It’s a problematic scene for a lot of people who like the show. And it’s the darkest professional day of my life.”
