In Sex and the City writer Carrie Bradshaw was known for returning to her old flames. In a new set of photos the much-loved character can be seen walking hand-in-hand with arguably her most famous ex Aidan Shaw.
Shared on the official Instagrams for Carrie actress Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex and the City spin-off Just Like That, the cosy-looking photos suggest a Carrie and Aidan reunion could be at the heart of the second season. In the first season of And Just Like That, which followed friends Carrie, Charlotte Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes, Carrie was still reeling from the sudden and unexpected death of her husband Mr Big.
In Sex and the City furniture maker Aidan, played by John Corbett, was left broken-hearted when Carrie confessed to sleeping with Big, whose real name was John James Preston. He returned to Carrie's life when it was revealed that he opened a bar with Miranda's then ex Steve Brady. However, when he later popped the question they broke up because of Carrie's inability to commit.

Sometime later, she bumped into him in the street and found out he had married a fellow furniture designer named Kathy and they'd had a baby called Tate. Fast-forward to the film Sex and the City 2, set in Abu Dhabi, Carrie had a dangerous second run-in with Aidan after they ran into each other at a market.
Carrie, who was by then married to Big, shared a sultry dinner with Aidan, who had two more children Homer and Wyatt, and they had a passionate kiss. Thankfully Big forgave her after she confessed what had happened, but fans now have mixed feelings about seeing them reunited.
The photos were captioned with the teasing caption "Shh. Don’t tell anyone." And Sarah commented: "Shhhh. X, SJ." Brassic star Michelle Keegan shared the picture with the words "don't know how I feel about this."
But lovealexisley commented: "I’ve been DREAMING of this." And cole.doman said: "Screaming crying and throwing up as well." ginarizzoloepstein replied: "He’s still hot."
cherylrobin22 fumed: "Oh no you can't do that, replace Big with Aiden." And heytedhey quoted Aidan as they yelled: "She BROKE his HEART."
