Sarah Ferguson says she is "sexy, sassy and super saucy" as she turns 60

Sarah Ferguson claims she’s “sexy, sassy and super saucy” as she heads towards her 60th birthday.

The Duchess of York also insisted she and Prince Andrew are “examples of good parenting” amid talk of a reconciliation 20 years after they divorced.

And Fergie revealed she is so obsessed with her health because she wants to be around to be a “granny” that she could be “accused of being a hypochondriac”.

The Duchess, 60 in October, was speaking at the launch of Bias And Biology, a British Heart Foundation campaign raising awareness of the inequalities in diagnosis of women and heart disease.

In a £328 emerald designer dress by Cefinn and quirky zebra mules at the event in London, she said: “I’m sexy, sassy and super saucy – and I don’t want to get heart disease.

“More of us wonderful ladies should go and get checked.”

Fergie wants to be around to see her and Prince Andrew’s daughter Princess Beatrice, 30, settle down after Eugenie, 29, tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank last year.

She added: “And I want to be granny. I don’t want to not take this seriously. It’s not a joke, it’s only one life.”

When it comes to being a good role model to their daughters, she believed she and Andrew “lead by example”.

Fergie has been open about her battle with her weight that cruelly saw her dubbed the “Duchess of Pork” and confessed she now watches what she eats “very carefully”.

She said: “I do a lot of in-house training.”

Fergie urges women to have check-ups, saying: “If you want to see your children’s children, take control of your heart.”
