Sarah Beeny ‘feeling human’ as she shares health update amid breast cancer battle

Sarah Beeny has given fans a health update amid her breast cancer battle.

The property expert, 50, shared news of her diagnosis in August, and previously said that she almost expected to develop the disease after losing her mum to cancer aged 39.

Now reflecting on her health, the Channel 4 star shared a photo of herself sporting a woolly hat while enjoying an early morning walk on Instagram.

Captioning the post, she said: “It may be cold but WHAT a beautiful morning!!

“One of my very fav hats I’ve been given and feeling human! You were right - it does pass…..!” (sic).

In September, the star revealed she shaved her hair off after losing the majority of it within 24 hours while undergoing treatment.

Taking to social media at the time, Beeny shared two images – one of her wearing a blonde wig and the other a close-up of her hand holding a clump of her own hair.

The Reading-born star was open with her followers as she admitted losing her hair had been “much harder than I expected it to be when it happened”.

Alongside the image of her hand, she wrote: “In 24 hrs most hair fell out and I’ve shaved the rest off - onward and upward! X”.

In the other picture she is beaming while posing with her pet dog and wearing what Beeny described as “a very good wig”.

“A handful of wild flower seeds and a bit of patience!!!! (One of us might be wearing a very good wig….!!) xx” she said.

Beeny – who is best known for her work on UK property programmes, including Help! My House Is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country – first confirmed her diagnosis in an interview with The Telegraph in August.

Speaking to the newspaper, she revealed she began a course of chemotherapy to treat the cancer and had surgery and was set to undergo radiotherapy in the New Year.

Despite her diagnosis, Beeny has said she would continue to work and is currently focused on a new Channel 4 series and book she has planned for later in the year.

She has four children – Rafferty, Laurie, Billy, and Charlie – and has been married to her husband, the artist Graham Swift, since 2003.
