Sarah Beeny beams as she tends her garden and announces new series after finishing chemotherapy

Sarah Beeny continued to show off her platinum blonde crop as she tended her garden on Thursday.

The TV presenter was diagnosed with breast cancer in August last year and unveiled her new ‘do last month after finishing chemotherapy.

And now the 51-year-old has taken to Instagram to share an update which saw her beaming as she posed next to a plant she had sown over cooler months.

In the shot, the TV star donned a red shirt with a pair of jeans and wellies as she headed outdoors with a cup of tea to check on her snake’s head fritillary plant.

Alongside the photo, she wrote: “The fantastic snakes head fritillary!!! So worth the hours of planting over the winter!”

After sharing her latest post, fans rushed to the comments to share their well wishes and excitement for her new Channel 4 series, Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country.

One penned: “You look incredible – looking forward to your new series starting next week.”

“You look like a beautiful ray of sunshine,” another commented. “Hair is looking très chic”.

A fourth added: “Sarah, you look fantastic. Can’t wait to see you back on our screens”.

Her post comes as she confirmed her Channel 4 series would be returning on Monday, April 17, filmed prior to her cancer diagnosis.

Sharing a promotional photo of the show, she penned: “New series out on Monday! As you can see, filmed last year – at a time when I took my hair for granted!”

The Channel 4 series follows Beeny and her family, husband Graham Swift and their four children, as they adapt to life after moving to Somerset.

The property expert swapped London for a 220-acre, semi-derelict former dairy farm in the hope of building a modern stately home.

Beeny is best known for her work on UK property programmes including Help! My House Is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country.

Last year, the property expert shared news of her breast cancer diagnosis in August, and previously said that she almost expected to develop the disease after losing her mum to cancer aged 39, when Sarah was just 10.
