Indian outfits can be tricky to put together especially because we feel we have very limited options composed of suits, sarees and lehengas. However, the ethnic wear space is opening up to a number of new trends especially with designers experimenting with traditional pieces to add their own touch. One trend which is catching pace is crop tops worn with flared pants and completed with floor length capes. Sara Ali Khan, Tara Sutaria, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonam Kapoor have been spotted wearing this outfit and it’s the perfect attire to add to your Indo-Western wardrobe.
Sara Ali Khan wore a maroon crop-top with flared pants and completed her look with a full length cape. While the pants were plain, the top and cape were embroidered in the same pattern. The Simmba actor kept her hairstyle sleek and accessorised with a pair of small earrings.
We also spotted Tara Sutaria at a song launch event for Student of the Year 2. She wore a pink strapless crop top with a sharara. She completed the outfit with an embroidered cape top. The young actor accesorised with gold bracelets in one hand and even adorned a small bindi, while her makeup was toned down and her hair blow-dried for the event.
Sonakshi Sinha was seen promoting Kalank in a plain white crop top worn with pants with geometrical and floral patterns by designer Anamika Khanna. She also wore a cape over the pants and top combo which had a number of prints and pattern over it. The Dabangg 3 actor completed her look with green multi-string necklace while keeping her hair in a low ponytail.
Sonam Kapoor was spotted wearing the crop top and pants combo with a cape at the airport. The look is perfect for small family gatherings. She styled the black and white apparel with silver oxidised earrings and black sneakers. However it can be worn with heels to give it a more formal appeal.
