Santa and his sleigh heading to Motherwell, Ravenscraig and Wishaw next week

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why.

Santa Claus and his sleigh are coming to Motherwell, Ravenscraig and Wishaw next week.

The event is all thanks to Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club who have been organising the fun since 2015.

The fun starts on Wednesday, December 14, in Motherwell with Santa’s sleigh starting at the Farm Street car park, opposite the Bentley Hotel at 5.45pm.

The sleigh will then go down Ladywell Road, North Orchard Street and Kirkland Street stopping at Grainger Way swing park from 6.10pm until 6.25pm.

Santa will go on down Kirkland Street, North Orchard Street, Bruce Avenue and Scotia Street stopping at Kildonan Place from 6.30pm from 6.45pm.

He is then expected to travel down Scotia Street and The Loaning to Logans Road, just outside St Bernadettes Church, from 7pm before leaving at 7.15pm and going down Logans Road, Chesters Crescent and Watling Street to Empire Way from 7.20pm.

The fun moves onto Ravenscraig on Monday, December 19, starting at 5.30pm starting off from Hoy Gardens and Cook Crescent stopping at Wells Grove before moving on down Lindsay Drive and Hoy Gardens.

The sleigh will then make its way down Plantation Road and McTaggart Crescent stopping at the nearby playpark at 6.05pm before moving back down Plantation Road to Peacock Wynd stopping there at 6.45pm.

Santa will also be stopping at the open square at Skylark Wynd at 7.10pm with the final stop being Prospect Hill Road playpark at 8pm.

On Wednesday, December 21, Santa will start his Wishaw journey at the Tesco Express car park in Coltness Road from 5.30pm.

Leaving the car park at 6.15pm, Santa’s sleigh will head down Coltness Road and North Kilmeny Crescent before stopping at the Newark Drive lock-ups.

At around 6.40pm, Santa will travel down Newark Drive, Innerleithen Drive, Kilmeny Crescent, Traquair Drive and Stobo Street to stop number two at Greenlaw Avenue.

Following a quick pit-stop at Greenlaw, Santa will go down Coltness Road, Waverley Drive and Dryburgh Road to his final stop at Melrose Crescent, opposite the swing park at 7.10pm.

All are approximate timings.
