Couturier Anju Modi showcased a brilliant collection titled Damayanti at the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. She had actor Sanjana Sanghi walk the ramp for her in a Maharashtrian drape sari teamed with a bralette and a bolero jacket with a lush purple stole. She looked absolutely divine.
The commonalities between the two leading brands, Anju Modi and Lenzing led to a collection, designed mindfully using high-quality man- made cellulose fibres, manufactured from sustainable sources such as wood chips and wood pulp. The collection flaunts a vibrant colour palette, comprising deep yellows, garnet red, delicate ivories, royal pink and blues. Carefully engineered textiles from natural fibres, bearing the strength of man-made fabrics gave rise to captivating eco- friendly drapes with an old-world charm, thus honouring the artist's body of work.
A collection inspired by Damayanti - India’s most celebrated artist, Raja Ravi Varma’s muse. A mindfully designed collection that brought the best of technology and sustainability through the collaboration with Tencel™ Lyocell and Modal fibre and the old-world charm of drapes, embroideries and storytelling. Known for reviving traditional crafts, creating timeless, organic and handcrafted silhouettes whilst empowering craftsmen. Take a look at the collection.
