Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark was targeted in an X-rated rant seconds after his team were relegated to the Lowland League.
The 66-year-old was exiting the pitch after Spartans condemned Rovers to their fate before a supporter in the stand launched into an astonishing blast aimed directly at Clark. The former Hearts star was taunted over the Jambos' title loss to Celtic in 1986 by a yob turning the air blue – as others next to him can be heard telling him to yap it as he goaded Clark over Albert Kidd – the Dundee striker who denied Hearts the title.
Clark was visibly angered as he was met with abuse seconds after a heartbreaking defeat consigned the Coatbridge side to a drop in division. Stewards moved the punter along and Record Sport columnist Tam McManus was left fuming after viewing the video and let rip and the punter's actions. He said: "Scream abuse at someone whose team just been relegated, film it then absolutely s***e your pants.
"Utter coward. Big hard man behind a barrier with stewards present. He better hope he doesn’t bump into Sandy Clark again – he won't be laughing."
