Sandwich Sandwich opened its brand new store on Baldwin Street earlier today with hundreds of people turning up for the occasion. Customers arriving at the legendary sandwich shop's new Bristol branch could expect to wait in queues of up to an hour, especially during the lunch-time peak period.
A 50 per cent off deal was made available to all customers between 11am and 2pm today to celebrate the launch. As a result of this, hundreds of fans flocked to the branch to get their hands on a bargain.
On top of this, there were other goodies being given out by the eatery throughout the day from opening at 7am until closing time at 3pm this afternoon. The store on Baldwin Street became the chain's biggest site yet spanning over 2,500 square feet, with seating for 30 people inside and a new menu for customers to work through.

Some of the updated items available to purchase off the menu include the Vegan Stack which is made up of vegan chick’n, crispy onion bhaji, spicy mango, coriander relish and fresh spinach. There is also a new and improved French dip beef sandwich which includes rare roast topside of beef, apple wood smoked cheddar, red onion chutney, horseradish and beef jus dipping pot.
The family-run retailer is known for its huge sandwiches packed with a stack of fillings. Those who missed the 50 per cent off deal today can still make the most of the launch, as UberEats is offering half-price house sandwiches all week through its app.
Nick Kleiner, managing director of Sandwich Sandwich, said: "We’ve been working around the clock to bring Baldwin Street 2.0 to life and we couldn’t be more proud of the team for what they’ve achieved. This marks the start of a new era for Sandwich Sandwich and sets the foundation to change the fundamentals of sandwiches forever.”
