Sandro Tonali admits he is coming to Newcastle United to win after receiving his first glimpses of what life will be like on Tyneside. The Italian, sat in front of a custom-made flag that read 'Forza Tonali', gave his first in-house interview to the Magpies this week, speaking in his native language.
Quizzed on his first visit to St James' Park, new boss Eddie Howe and his ambitions for life on Tyneside, Tonali's answers will be music to the ears of fans as he detailed his incredible determination to win at all costs.
"The ambition of every player is to come to a team and win," the 23-year-old said. "I believe the first thing you should do is never stop and then aim to win. This is everyone's goal, to try and win as soon as possible."

Tonali met Newcastle boss Howe briefly during a whistle-stop tour of the north east in recent days. The midfielder jetted in on Wednesday but is already back in Milan for a short holiday.
Newcastle fans greeted the new addition as he posed for pictures around the city in recent days. Tonali was also house-hunting during his short trip and is now relishing getting started under Howe.
"He was one of those people who wanted me," Tonali said of the Toon boss. "I hope to meet him as a possible and I'm looking to starting this journey together with him.
"Everyone has told me nice thing about him. They have told me about his background, not to mention what this season was like for him. I hope to start the job together very soon."
Tonali will be a part of Newcastle's pre-season trip to the United States but will have to wait a few weeks to see St James' Park at its brilliant, jam-packed best. But the player is already excited at the idea of running out in front of 52,000 supporters.
"I think it's totally different to see a stadium empty and then full. I have already seen some videos and photos as well," he added. "I believe actually it's not an opinion, it's a fact, it's a very warm stadium which drags you inside and you have to manage to drag the supporters along with us during matches."
