Newcastle United new boy Sandro Tonali will be granted a short break before starting work with the Magpies for the 2023/24 season.
Tonali was on a whistlestop tour of Tyneside yesterday as he was shown around the area and met key club officials including CEO Darren Eales at St James' Park. Tonali's efforts at the European Championships with Italy Under-21s have now earned him a short holiday.

Newcastle are starting preparations for pre-season but, like Anthony Gordon who is still on duty with England U21s, Tonali will get extra time to recuperate from representing his country. Both should be involved on the club's tour of the United States later this month.
With Tonali's move to Newcastle still being digested in Milan, former Italy and AC Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi has been approached for comment by La Gazzetta dello Sport over the high profile transfer. The deal has been a hot topic of conversation in the Italian media.
Sacchi said: "At that price, how can you say no? And besides, the player, who has been offered a salary double or even higher than what he was earning, has probably expressed the desire to leave. It's only human."
Tonali was jetted into Newcastle yesterday direct from Milan before meeting a handful of supporters as he toured the area. United are not planning any immediate media unveiling for the former Brescia star and he will soon be back in Italy.
