Sandi Toksvig is out of hospital after falling ill with bronchial pneumonia in Australia.
Taking to Twitter, the QI star, 64, wrote: "Thank you to everyone who has sent such kind words while I’ve been unwell. I am now out of hospital and continuing my convalescence in Australia until I’m fit to fly home. My undying (literally) thanks to the amazing Australian health service."
The former Bake Off host concerned fans on Saturday when her team revealed the TV presenter had been forced to cancel the New Zealand leg of her tour after falling ill.
They tweeted: "Due to illness, Sandi has cancelled the New Zealand leg of her tour. She has been admitted to hospital with bronchial pneumonia while still in Australia and is unable to travel & perform. Our main priority is getting her home to the UK as soon as she is well enough - Team Toksvig."
Bronchopneumonia is a type of pneumonia that affects the bronchi in the lungs.
The condition commonly results from a bacterial infection, but can also be caused by viral and fungal infections. Symptoms can vary, but often include coughing, difficulty breathing, and fever.
After finding out Sandi was out of hospital, fans flocked to Twitter with their well wishes.
One said: "SO SO GLAD you are getting better. Speedy recovery!"
Another wrote: "This is the absolute best news of the month! I'm so happy you're convalescing!"
While a third tweeted: "Really glad to hear you are the road to recovery. I hope Denmark doesn't mind if I say you are a national treasure in the UK!"
Sandi was supposed to travel across nine cites in Australia and New Zealand as part of her mammoth Sandi Toksvig live tour.
Before heading over to Australia to start her tour Down Under, she said: "‘I am thrilled to finally come down to Australia and New Zealand to perform my new show for my fans down under.
"It has been a perilous time for live performance, but I am thrilled to be back on the boards. And leaving our winter for an Australian summer is a bonus, I can’t wait."
Sadly, Sandi has been forced to cancel the New Zealand leg of her gig as she continues to rest and recuperate.
But, hopefully the seasoned star will be back in the spotlight soon.
