The 21-year-old center has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, a condition that was discovered after he returned from the All-Star Game in San Francisco.
Wembanyama, who was named the Rookie of the Year last season, was having an outstanding year, earning his first All-Star selection. Throughout the current season, he has been a dominant force on the court, averaging 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
Notably, in a game against the Washington Wizards in November 2024, Wembanyama showcased his scoring prowess by dropping a career-high 50 points.
