A large collection of knives was also found during the police raid. The collection included a samurai sword and a number of machetes.
Operation Pelican is an ongoing police campaign and was launched in 2017 to combat the drug trade and gang violence in Bootle, Netherton, Litherland and the surrounding areas. It has had several notable successes due to its specific targeting and pursuit of intelligence gathering in the region.
Commenting on the arrest via the Merseyside Police South Sefton twitter page, officers said: "Operation Pelican officers have this afternoon arrested a 21-year-old male for drug supply offences in Netherton after enquiries led them to a flat which was found to contain a large amount of cropped cannabis plants drying out."
