Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has claimed that Nicolas Anelka was not on the same level as Arsenal and Premier League legend Thierry Henry.
Both Eto'o and the France international spent time together at the Camp Nou under Pep Guardiola, where they won the treble in 2008-09.
The 41-year-old did depart Catalonia that summer as he swapped Barcelona for Inter Milan. Henry, on the other hand, is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats in the Premier League.

During his time in north London, he scored 228 goals in 376 games, winning both the FA Cup and Premier League twice during that time. However, according to his former teammate, there is another French striker and former Arsenal talisman who is ranked higher.
"I think he was not at the level of Nicolas Anelka. Thierry Henry was good, but I knew players... I preferred other players," Eto'o said via the French publication Foot Mercato.
"In any case, he was not at my level. The luck or the bad luck that I had was not playing for France. Those who played in France had plus 70 per cent. It's not because they were strong but because France sells them better.
"They sold them to us and brought them up to our level..."
He did side with Henry when former Liverpool attacker El Hadji Diouf was mentioned. He added: "... I'm not talking about [El Hadji] Diouf because he's not even in the same category. How can you put Diouf next to Thierry Henry?"
