The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 was announced at a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked showcase on July 10, 2024, where we also saw the introduction of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 among other Galaxy devices.
Offering a suite of refinements over its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Fold 6 also comes in a suite of new colors. For our initial early impressions, check out our hands-on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 review.
There are three main colors to choose from: Silver Shadow, Pink, Navy. And two that are exclusive to the Samsung store, which are Crafted Black and White. We got to see the first three in person, so read on for a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors.
Silver Shadow
What Samsung calls Silver Shadow is basically a smokey silver. In bright lights the silver pops, whereas in darker conditions it looks more like a light gray.
Its finish is more dynamic than the simple grey of the Fold 5 and looks a bit closer to the Icy Blue color option the older foldable phones has. Overall, I think Silver Shadow is a rather nice color option for the Fold 6, threading the line between workhorse professionalism with a hint of playfulness.
Pink
Pink has finally made it over from the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip phones to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. But don't expect a particularly striking pink, as this shade is more of a creamy white with a hint of pink.
How prominent the pink will be is dependant on the lighting. But if you want a phone with a light color but don't want a prominent white that'll likely show up dirt more readily than other shades, this pink for the Fodl 6 could be the one to go for.
Navy
Pretty run-of-the mill, the Navy option for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a akin to the dark blue one might expect to find on a business suit.
And much like such suits, the blueness of the color will pop more in bright lights and fade more to a near-black in lower lighting conditions. If you're looking to use the Fold 6 for work, then this is the color option I'd suggest going for.
Crafted Black
A Samsung online store exclusive, we didn't get to see the Crafted Black Galaxy Z Fold 6 in person. But expect it to be a straightforward black option that's not dissimilar to the Phantom Black of previous Galaxy phones.
One could argue that black is a somewhat dull color for a phone these days. Equally, its a classic shade so you can't really go wrong with it. And I've used black Galaxy Folds before and feel the color works well on a foldable phone.
White
Much like Crafted Black, we weren't able to see the White option for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in person as it's an online exclusive. But expect it to be a fairly run-of-the-mill white shade.
White is popular with smartphone makers, though I feel it's a tad uninspired for Samsung. An option for people who want to play it safe.
