The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is fast approaching where the public will see what the next generation of foldable phones will look like.
Alongside some rumours confirmed by a Samsung executive, the company has now released a trailer hinting at what's in store for the Galaxy Unpacked event.
The trailer focuses on the theme "is 'good' good enough?"- It starts by showing popular phone models from the past 20 years including phones from Blackberry, HTC, Motorola and Nokia.
These phones appear to be used as examples by Samsung explaining how phones have evolved over the past couple of decades- it's no surprise in this case that the result of all these phones is the innovative Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Further teasers of the next generation of foldable phones are also included in the trailer, with a silhouette of the Galaxy Z flip that opens up to reveal skyscrapers as the video ends with the tagline "Get ready to unfold.”
Samsung is expected to unveil two new smartphone models, two smartwatches to add to their wearable range, and a set of wireless earbuds that should improve upon the previous design of the Galaxy Buds with active noise cancellation.
The new smartwatches will be the first models to run Google's Wear OS, providing faster performance and longer battery life.
As Samsung Executive, Tae Moon Roh, explained in a blog post, the new generation of Galaxy foldables will have a sleeker and more durable design, alongside improved sotware.
Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on Wednesday, August 11- while no official time has yet been released, last April's Unpacked event started at 10 pm British Time so expect a similar start in August.
