After months of leaks and speculation the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is finally here – or rather, it has been announced, but these phones aren’t shipping quite yet.
So below, you’ll find full details of when you can expect to get the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, or Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in your hands, along with a brief look at when they were announced, and when pre-orders opened.
Then, further down we’ve included information on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which the company has teased but not yet released, and the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, which is so far unconfirmed but may well land at some point.

Samsung Galaxy S25 announcement date
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series – including the Galaxy S25 itself, the Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra – was announced on January 22.
These phones weren’t alone though, with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge also getting revealed, and the company’s Project Moohan mixed reality headset being shown off for a second time.

Samsung Galaxy S25 pre-order date
Samsung Galaxy S25 pre-orders went live the same day as the announcement, so in other words January 22, and you’ll be able to pre-order anytime between now and the day before the phones officially release (more on which below).
If you’re sure you want one of these phones then it’s worth pre-ordering, as not only might you get it sooner than if you wait for the on-sale date, but there are various perks available for pre-ordering.
The specifics depend on the country and retailer, but for example in the US, Samsung is offering up to $300 of Samsung credit, plus up to $900 of trade-in credit, in the UK you can get a free storage upgrade (so for example getting a 512GB model for the price of a 256GB one) plus up to £500 with a trade-in, and in Australia you can save up to AU$200 when you opt for a higher capacity model.
And those are just the offers when you pre-order direct from Samsung – if you choose a different retailer then the pre-order perks may differ, with some for example throwing in a free Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 or Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy S25 on-sale date
The Samsung Galaxy S25 release date is February 7, so if you order on this date or later you won’t be eligible for pre-order offers, but this is also the day when buyers should receive their phones (and when you can walk out of a store with one if you buy it from a bricks and mortar establishment).
However, it’s worth noting that if you pre-order you may well receive your phone before that date. At the time of writing, Samsung is advertising delivery from February 4 in the UK, and from February 6 in Australia, though in the US it simply says you’ll get it by February 7.
In any case, it’s possible those UK and Australia dates will change as more people order, so the sooner you place your pre-order the more likely you are to get the phone early.
What about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE?
As well as announcing the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung also teased the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, a phone that’s much slimmer than the rest of the S25 line, but only has two rear cameras.
Samsung didn’t reveal any specs or say when this phone will launch, but previous leaks suggested we might see this phone land in or around May.
There’s also the possibility of a more affordable Samsung Galaxy S25 FE model, as Samsung often launches FE versions. But this hasn’t yet been confirmed, and if it does launch, we wouldn’t expect it to do so for quite a while, since the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE only went on sale in October of 2024.
