Digging in the mosque fueled the fire
As soon as the survey team entered the mosque, the news of digging inside spread. People were shocked to know about the team's sudden arrival early in the morning on a Sunday and got enraged by the news of digging inside.
First some people gathered around the mosque but in a short while a large crowd gathered on the roads around. The crowd started pelting stones while shouting in the narrow lanes. The police had to make a lot of efforts to bring the situation under control.
