Samantha Markle fumes Meghan's grandma would be 'rolling in grave' over 'fake news'

Meghan Markle's half-sister has slammed the Duchess for her new Netflix documentary, saying her grandma would be "rolling in her grave" over her actions.

Samantha Markle is far from happy by Meghan's behaviour, calling her latest Netflix documentary series a "$100million fake news PR machine".

Samantha, 58, wasn't impressed with comments the former Suits actress, 41, opening up on apparent family tensions. Meghan claimed she barely knew her half-sister, saying she had only seen her for a day-and-a-half in "over a decade".

Meghan also told cameras how she was "grateful" to have a "grandmother figure" after caring for her own grandmother near the end of her life.

But speaking to Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Samantha said Meghan's comments regarding their grandmother Doris May Rita Sanders, who they shared form Meghan's father's side was the last straw.

She fumed: "The whole grandmother thing - that just did it for us. I think my grandmother would be rolling over in her grave if she saw that. [Meghan] didn't take care of her, she visited her."

Commenting further, Samantha claimed Meghan fabricated her relationship with her grandmother.

In the series, Meghan spoke of special moments she spent with Doris and said: "I was so, so, close with my grandmother and I took care of her in her final years."

Samantha, however, refuted the comments, telling Tucker: "She never made apple butter with her because my grandmother was making apple butter, like, in the 1970s before Meghan was even born. So, it's been so far-fetched.

"It's like a tragic comedy, especially sadly for our family and for the Royals."

Opening up on her relationship with Samantha on the documentary, Meghan said she hardly knew her, but had seen her all over the news following Meghan's royalty status.

"I don't know your middle name, I don't know your birthday," Meghan said on the series. " You're telling these people that you raised me and that you've coined me 'Princess Pushy?

"I don't remember seeing her when I was a kid at my dad's house if, and when, they would come around."

She added the pair didn't have a fallout as Samantha had claimed, but only because "we didn't have a closeness to be able to have that".

Samantha released a book about Meghan in 2021 titled The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister: A Memoir, Part One. In it, she discussed the pair's upbringing and their apparent rivalry when their dad was wed to Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland.
