Sam Warburton and his wife Rachel have announced the birth of their third child.
The former Wales and Lions captain revealed he has a new little girl called Lily in posts on Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
The first picture showed Warburton and his second-born child, Max James, smiling and holding his newborn little sister.
Warburton then shared a comical comparison picture showing him as a 27-year-old first-time dad at the birth of his first child Anna Victoria, and then as a 34-year-old with an ageing filter on his face, making him appear considerably older thanks to the stresses of parenthood.
Anna Victoria was born back in July 2016 after Warburton had returned from captaining Wales on their summer tour of New Zealand. Max was born in the summer of 2020.
Sam also explained that three children would be it for the Warburton family, jokingly saying: "Three little ones and a dog - we're done!".
Fellow Welsh legend Jamie Roberts commented, "Yes bruv. She’ll be eating at The Juboraj (Indian restaurant in Rhiwbina) in no time. Congrats to you both". Roberts and partner Nicole Ramson announced the birth of their second child in March last year.
The Warburtons were married at Celtic Manor in 2014 and have been together since their school days, having lived on the same street in Rhiwbina.
Since retiring in 2018, Warburton has gone on to become a familiar face in the media, with regular appearances on television as a pundit, hosting his podcast 'Captains' and writing for The Times.
