Zara McDermott has given concerned fans an update on Sam Thompson 's health woes - revealing her boyfriend is sometimes experiencing pain so excruciating, it feels like he is "gonna die".
The former Love Island contestant, 25, told her Instagram followers on Sunday how the Made In Chelsea star, 29, has "gone downhill" since first being admitted to hospital last month.
Zara explained how her reality TV star beau is losing weight, struggling to keep his eyes open and unable to to concentrate on anything.
In a detailed Instagram Story post, the model and influencer revealed her partner has been experiencing pain around his abdomen for the last month - even enduring pain so intense at one point it felt like he was "gonna die".
Zara's social media update comes after a hospital dash last week, where Sam received some complicated blood test results after a period of suffering from a "really bad stomach".
Speaking to her fans on her 'A DAY WITH ZARA' spin-off Instagram account, the reality TV star opened up about Sam's symptoms, and asked her 155,000 followers if anyone had experienced anything similar.
Captioning a close up image taken in bed, Zara wrote: "Just put Sam back to bed...bless his heart he's so unwell again.
"A few weeks ago he was really poorly with intensely painful stomach cramps. He had a endoscopy & stool sample that both biopsies detected inflammation; but the dr hasn't been overly clear as to what that means/why it's there."
The concerned girlfriend continued: "He said to come back in a few weeks but in the meantime Sam has gone downhill again. He can barely keep his eyes open, concentrate on anything and he's losing weight! And also his appetite is not there!"
After asking her fans is anyone has experienced anything similar, Zara then shared how poorly Sam is coping with the pain.
"He has good & bad days," she continued on Sunday afternoon.
"Yesterday was ok but for the last month he's had stomach pains around his belly button, some have been intense and he was literally like 'I'm gonna die' and then the rest of the time it's a low level pain!"
In a follow-up post, Zara responded to those who have queried if the pain could be linked to the hernia he has, revealing that Sam's doctor is "not even sure" if there two could be linked.
She then thanked her fans for their help and advice, alongside sharing a snap of a fatigued Sam in bed with their cat.
Last week, Sam also shared a health update with his 1.4 million Instagram followers - after admitting to feeling unwell for a while following his trip to the hospital.
Speaking from his bed at home, he explained: "So I haven't been very well recently and I have got a really bad stomach."
He then sighed as he held up a stool sample test bag and tube for the camera and went into further detail.
"I know I have got to be an adult about it but there is something about having a number two, turning around, scooping it up and putting it in a jar to then place in front of a doctor's eyes that is just getting to me," Sam told his Instagram fans.
Sam's health worries come just months after his sister Louise Thompson endured a terrifying experience giving birth to her first child in November 2021.
The new mum almost died during childbirth and has been suffering from PTSD and other severe medical problems since.
