Sam Thompson says he wasn't invited to Jamie Laing's stag do and responds to wedding 'snub'

Sam Thompson has revealed he wasn't invited to his pal Jamie Laing's stag do, but is going to Jamie's Spanish nuptials.

Ex Made in Chelsea star Sam, 30, revealed he has a "bee in his bonnet" about missing out on the stag celebrations – despite Sam sharing his excitement with Jamie over the do when Jamie got engaged to Sophie Habboo.

Sam made the revelation on his joint podcast with Pete Wicks, Staying Relevant, where he was quizzed by former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete, 35, on apparent rumours of a feud between Jamie and Sam.

It was rumoured by some the pair had fallen out after Sam and his girlfriend Zara McDermott were noticeably absent from Jamie's Chelsea wedding to Sophie.

Sam has now revealed he wasn't expecting an invite to the Chelsea nuptials as he and Zara will be there when the pair tie the knot in Spain.

However, he did share his disappointment at not being invited to the stag do, which Jamie celebrated at a star-studded ski resort in March.

Speaking about Sam's absence from Jamie's London nuptials on his joint podcast with former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete, Sam denied a feud between the pair.

However, he revealed he wasn't invited on Jamie's stag do. Pete, 35, asked pal Sam: "Stag do, how was it?"

"I wasn't invited on the stag do," Sam said while Pete then asked: "How was the wedding?"

Sam went to explain: "See this is the thing..." Pete then interrupted: "No, how was it because we've seen lovely pictures of them getting married in this beautiful ceremony in Chelsea, you know, all suited and booted – black and white images with those old school sunglasses on, walking down the street really f**king nice. How was it? Was it good?"

Ex Made In Chelsea star Sam replied: "So I'm actually going to the proper wedding."

Pete then teased: "No, so how was the actual ceremony."

Sam then said: "I wasn't there it was for actual family."

Pete then asked: "You didn't go? Have you fallen out?"

"No I'm going to the wedding," Sam insisted before Pete quizzed the MIC star on his relationship with Jamie as Sam answered: "No because unlike you we are mates I'm going to the wedding. I don't actually understand how this is even a story – although quite cool there was a story because I'm never in the press so it was quite nice. It was like, 'Sam Thompson and Spencer Matthews shun wedding'."

Pete then sarcastically added: "You shunned the wedding? As a friend that's not a very friendly thing to do. Why would you do that to such a good friend of yours?"

The TV star then revealed that while he wasn't fazed by missing the register office wedding in London, he had a "problem" with missing out on the stag.

"I'll tell you," Sam began. "There's two things here; first of all I'm actually going to the wedding which is going to be sick. Second of all, wasn't invited to the stag do – that is a problem. I genuinely thought I was gonna go," Sam laughed.

As Pete quizzed Sam on why he wasn't invited to Jamie's stag, he said: "I don't know I'm going to ask him, I'm gonna be like: 'Geezer, come on man why was I not there'."

Sam recalled of the moment he found out Jamie and Sophie were engaged and the podcaster shared his excitement over the stag. Sam said: "He video called me with Sophie and showed me the ring and was like, 'Oh my God this is amazing' and I called him afterwards and was like: 'Mate this is so cool, where we going for the stag'.

"And he was going: 'Mate the stag's gonna be sick we might do Miami,' he was like: 'We're gonna do so awesome stuff and I'll let you know when we go' and it turns out I saw it on Instagram," Sam laughed.

Sam said: "The real problem actually is not going on the stag [laughs] genuinely I have a bee in my bonnet about that, I genuinely do. I thought I was going."
