Sam Smith has cancelled their Glasgow gig set to take place tonight for a second time.
Sam announced that they will be cancelling further performances following their concert in Manchester being unexpectedly cut short last night.
They have postponed the Glasgow gig with fans with tickets to the gigs being offered refunds.
The Stay With Me singer left the stage at the AO Arena after just four songs, leaving fans in the crowd wondering what was going on and suspecting a power cut or technical issue had occurred.
However, Sam took to Instagram a few hours later and apologised to fans, detailing an issue with their voice was the reason behind the abrupt early finish to their show.
And now Sam has taken to social media to issue a new statement and revealing that Glasgow's gig set to take place at the OVO Hydro tonight will not go ahead.
The statement shared on the Unholy singer's Instagram Stories reads: "DUE TO VOCAL ISSUES DURING LAST NIGHT'S MANCHESTER PERFORMANCE, REGRETTABLY WE WILL BE CANCELLING THE RESCHEDULED BIRMINGHAM AND GLASGOW SAM SMITH SHOWS. REFUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT POINT OF PURCHASE FOR ALL THREE DATES; MANCHESTER, BIRMINGHAM AND GLASGOW.
"A SPOKESPERSON SAID 'DOCTORS HAVE ADVISED DUE TO A VOCAL CORD INJURY, SAM MUST HAVE COMPLETE VOCAL REST. SAM IS HEARTBROKEN TO HAVE HAD TO CANCEL THESE SHOWS BUT THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DOCTORS THAT IF THEY KEEP SINGING, THEY WILL DO PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THEIR VOICE.
"IF THEY TAKE SOME REST THEY WILL BE ABLE TO PERFORM AGAIN."
When sharing the statement to their 14.7million followers on Instagram, Sam added: "I'm so sorry [heartbroken emoji]."
Back in April, Sam was supposed to perform at the Hydro but had to cancel last minute due to illness.
Sam wrote on Instagram: “Sailors, I'm so sorry to say but we have to reschedule the Glasgow show to 25th May 2023.
“Myself and a lot of my team have been hit with a virus, that's made us really unwell. I want to give you the best version of Gloria the Tour and at the moment that's not possible.
“It was also really important to me that we had another date to move this to straight away. We will celebrate Gloria together!! All previous tickets are still valid for the new date. For any more information go to my website www.samsmithworld.com. All my love, Sam.”
